Welsh play 'ridicules' little people

ANGRY dwarfs have blasted Trainspotting author Irvine Welsh for writing a play about Munchkins from The Wizard Of Oz in sex orgies.
The producers of the show, Babylon Heights, are promising "wild Munchkin orgies, drunken behaviour and general dwarf debauchery".
But members of the Restricted Growth Association, who represent UK dwarfs, plan to demonstrate outside theatres in protest.
A spokesman branded the play "disrespectful and irresponsible" and added: "This is just another example of the media ridiculing the lives of people of restricted growth." The dwarfs are also angry that the play uses full-sized actors, with big furniture to make them look small.
Welsh's co-author, Dean Kavanagh, has defended the play, saying: "To be honest, I don't give a f*** what the PC brigade will say."
Babylon Heights has its premiere next month in Edinburgh-born Welsh's new home city of Dublin.

The play is based on the urban myth that one of the actors who played the Munchkins can be seen hanging from a tree in the background during The Wizard Of Oz.
Welsh wanted to look into the reasons for such a "suicide". Oz experts say the "hanging Munchkin" is actually a large bir
